Small Business Strategy, business mentoring and coaching Through a Therapeutic Lens

Knowing Monday helps small business owners – in particular, women – find their feet amidst the indecision, marketing jargon and late-week loneliness.

Part therapeutic friend; part marketing mentor, Knowing Monday is a therapeutically-influenced alternative to oversold business mentoring and coaching.

One that celebrates creativity and individuality, while bearing in mind that you cannot out-discipline burnout and making informed business decisions on things like branding, organic marketing, messaging and more is almost impossible when you “don’t know what you don’t know”.

Focused on removing the fatigue of indecision (or Googling into the wee hours of Friday morning) and providing genuine therapeutic connection – Knowing Monday looks like regular, one-on-one business mentoring and coaching sessions that don’t come with a course upsell at the end of it all.

There’s no binding contract. No AI-generated course guides to wade through. No homework to drown in. No process-pushing or advice to simply “goal better”.

Knowing Monday is simply genuine, business-centric connection through a therapeutic lens. You can use your hour to unload, debrief, breakdown, celebrate or brainstorm – I’ll meet you where you’re at on any given Monday. Or Wednesday. Or late Friday afternoon.

What to expect from your business mentoring and coaching session…

Knowing you; knowing Monday.

60 minutes of uninterrupted, selfishly-yours time to chat business, organic marketing strategy, problem-solve, plan goals, refine coping strategies, feel less alone or anything else your heart desires.

Drawn to feminist ACT, DBT and narrative therapy models – I promise therapeutic mentoring that takes your unique situation into consideration. No AI-generated worksheets piled onto an already overflowing work-plate; just holistic, honest and you-centred time to pave a (gently) productive way forward.

Session Structure and Expectations

Select a day and time, set your intentions and let’s get to know your Monday.

Set the Date for Your Business Mentoring and Coaching Session

Peruse the calendar, look for alignment and book in your Knowing Monday session. A tab will automatically pop up with an invoice (in Australian dollars). If you are based outside of Australia, the invoice will automatically convert to your local currency (as does the booking calendar).

Set Your Intentions, Prepare and Enter Our Meeting Space

Once you’ve booked your session and finalised payment you’ll be emailed an Intention Setting worksheet, contract and links to our virtual meeting space. The worksheet provides pre-session structure and guidance that allows you to make the most of our 60 minutes together. If you have any questions about our business mentoring and coaching session, I’m only ever an email away.

The After-Calm Connection

Knowing Monday isn’t your cookie-cutter business mentoring and coaching. It’s unconditional empathy, grassroots business strategy and genuine connection – it’s strategy-for-self when you’re navigating small business solo. After a session, you’ll likely feel alight with ideas and inspiration – but many find that they’re ready for a nap. A snack. And time to digest what-comes-next. Perhaps it’s another session – perhaps it’s time to gather supplies, gusto and your newfound ability to goal-set. Whatever it is, I'm sure we'll spend a Monday together again, soon.

Knowing Monday understands you cannot out-discipline burnout and making informed business decisions on things like branding, organic marketing and messaging is almost impossible when you “don’t know what you don’t know”.

About me

I’m Ayla, an avid copywriter and communications specialist. Business Management and Marketing make up my grassroots qualifications – but my experience spans across brand strategy, organic marketing, project management and digital advertising.

I’m a provisional student therapist who’s so close to graduating – an incredibly fulfilling journey to date that’s highlighted this gap in the small business space that Knowing Monday’s nestled into. One that I’ve personally felt the ebbs and flows of over the last six years in business.

Because, like me, many of us are mums, parents and partners who’re simply chasing a dream while scrambling with stability and something missing. And sometimes, that something missing is just a little bit of support to get us there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is Knowing Monday designed to replace therapy or the clinical support of a therapist?

A. No. If you’re searching for mental-health focussed psychology or counselling services, I’d recommend booking an appointment with your local GP to obtain a referral. While I am a provisional ACA-student therapist, Knowing Monday blends empathy and a therapeutic lens with my decade-long background in marketing, small business and copywriting to provide a unique mentoring and coaching service.

Q. How do I know if Knowing Monday sessions are the right fit for me?

A. I created Knowing Monday for those who:

  • Have a small business that you’re incredibly passionate about but find yourself struggling to juggle the workload and make informed decisions on things like marketing, website design, branding, positioning and so on
  • Have reached a point where you know you’re ready to grow, but don’t know what step to take next without completely burning yourself out
  • Feel as though owning and running a small business comes hand-in-hand with feelings of anxiety, worry, decision paralysis and at times, feeling isolated
  • Worked with coaches or mentors in the past and found it impersonal or lacking a personalised approach
  • Crave connection with fellow women in the small business space, but feel burnt out by the idea of swapping services and pouring from an (already) quite empty cup
  • Would like to be better at goal setting and be gently held accountable by someone who is compassionate, frank and has a background in marketing, business management and communications.

Q. What kind of marketing and business advice can I expect to take away from a session?

A. Using my university qualification in marketing and business management, coupled with over a decade of agency, not-for-profit and small business building experience; each session is built around you (and your brand’s) unique needs. Whether it’s communications plans, developing a campaign launch, devising organic marketing strategies or finessing funnels – we can talk it through. My specific expertise lies in building organic visibility, websites, brand stories, tone of voice, messaging, brand strategy and SEO/AIO that focuses on clarity over confusion.

Q. How much does a session cost and what’s the commitment?

A. A 60-minute Knowing Monday session costs $120 AUD. The beauty of my therapeutic framework is that there’s no minimum commitment required to find clarity and a productive path forward. Book a once-off session here and there, or commit to regular sessions: the choice is yours.
