You already know this is a blog—a home for all of my search engine-friendly stories to live. You’ll note a semblance of organisation (and largely an outpouring of chaotic creativity). But if your coffee is piping hot, word play tickles your brain and you’re into articles full of feeling: read on, creativity-seeker. There’s oodles of inspiration to be found here.

Had to quickly share the recent love from @oriwiaphotography on her homepage draft 🥹
I’ve been so quiet here on Instagram but it’s not been intentional. Thankfully SEO has been pulling her weight and between writing and some unexpected health hiccups, there’s been very little time to create for social media.
Alas, I’m alive and taking bookings for June & July for website copywriting, SEO/ AIO optimisation and written projects for anywhere you want your words to take you 📚 ✨
#websitecopywriter < do we even use hashtags anymore?… I feel very old haha
The AI pushback is quickening. More and more businesses are reaching out to me after being burnt, let down or left uninspired the degenerative capabilities of Artificial Intelligence.
Which has had me reflecting on the biggest difference between a website written DIY, by AI or from-word-go by a copywriter... Which, if you`re curious, it`s:
Personalisation, relevance and structure.
There’s a science behind how people interact with content that’s been written in a particular way. For example, short sentences imply ease. But they can also imply impact. Understatement. Elevation. And at times, good-old approachability akin to a friendly smile.
On the flipside, longer sentences can invoke a running stream of consciousness; and with the right punctuation and cadence – they’re not any harder to digest.
Oh, and there’s word choice.
Digest versus absorb versus consume.
Ones palatable. Ones a little immersive. One is laced with a sense of devour-ability.
When you work with a copywriter (like me), there’s an unending depth of personalisation that goes into every word, sentence and paragraph. Not only to align your messaging with the personality of your brand – but to make sure each piece of content is relevant to your audience. Your readers.
The very [human] people who keep your business afloat.
Which is where structure comes in.
No two stories are the same – and while free downloads that promise an ‘easy’ wireframe for writing your homepage can be a good starting place, they’re not personalised. And likely lack relevance.
If poetry’s influence on literature and storytelling conveys anything, it’s this:
The layout and flow of a story (or in this case, an About page or website Homepage) should be given equal attention to storytelling itself.
And when personalisation + relevance + structure come together, you’re left with website copywriting that’ll last year on year.
Never dating. Never failing. Always enlightening. Always converting.
It’s all of these little copywriting nuances that make human-written content relatable content. Compelling content. And honestly? Valuable content.
I`d love to hear your thoughts: the raw, unfiltered, unedited thoughts. 💫
It’s only February and I’m already loving 2026 – a transportive Mediterranean escape, boundary-breaking haircare, concierge telehealth hormones and integrative medicine, SEO/AIO optimisations galore (this makes my heart sing because SEO and AIO is single-handedly propping ECS up at the moment; there’s been no time for socials!) and so much more.
I’m booking March & April 2026 for website copywriting, SEO, AIO (AI-search optimisation; both on-page and technical optimisation available… basically, let me into the backend of your site and I’ll poke around until you’re OVER-booked) and organic marketing strategies.
Speak soon,

I’m trying to post some of my favourite projects from 2025… Is it happening quickly? No. Will there be more? Yes, ideally. 🤓
This is an SEO, AIO and website copywriting project for an Aboriginal-Owned NDIS Provider, yaliwunga.
Proof that uncomplicated and straightforward doesn’t have to mean generic and robotic. The brand voice brief we settled on was uncomplicated, participant-first and written for mob.
This meant copy that both coordinators, participants themselves and their family would find the content accessible, warm and confidence-instilling – leading to 9 enquiries within a few weeks of launch.
The result is website copywriting delivering language that’s non-competitive and reasonable; evoking community rather than contest: a genuine show of support and stability.

That aside, welcome to 2026 on my dusty corner of Meta’s algorithmically-challenged “social” app. Kidding! My lack of posting is not Instagram’s problem; it’s mine. And my perfectionistic tendencies…
Hence why perfectionism is OUT.
And the slogan “just post it” is IN.
Because what better way to kickstart a new year than good intentions and tongue-in-cheek humour? Right?
Okay, down to business. AI is (and has always been 🤖) out for me. Especially when it comes to website copywriting projects, anything organic marketing, etc.
So, if that is ALSO your cup of authentic, hand-picked, not AI-generated tea, we should connect and stay connected. ☕️
I also tried to include some fun ins (I think so anyways — you need to remember that my idea of fun is a 7.30am Saturday sleep in and an almond cappuccino in bed, mmkay).
I’d love to hear yours. And what shows you binged over the holidays. And if you’ve decided to do Morning Pages in 2026????

☁️ Do you recognise this song? 👀
Thank you to all the clients, collaborators, artists, makers and small business owners who have made 2025. This year’s version of Esme Copywriting Studio looked very different to what I expected – but I wouldn’t change it for the world.🎄
I’ll be formally out of office (and steering clear of my inbox) until Thursday 8th January 2026 – however I know a handful of my existing clients and early-2026 clients may have questions before then. So, please drop me a line!
January 2026 is fully booked for website projects (pinch me! 🥹).
I’m taking project bookings for website copywriting, SEO strategies/organic marketing strategies, SEO optimisations and campaign launches from February 2026 onwards.
I cannot wait to see the stories in store for next year.
Much love,
A. 📜
Mid-week musings about the pressure to create and the part that social media is playing.
Is anyone else feeling the same?
Maybe I just need to channel my teenage circa 2010-self who posted on a whim, didn’t care for like counts and simply *existed* on social media as if it didn’t really matter.
I think I enjoyed it more back then??? 😅
Anyways, I’m off to coax another coffee out of my broken machine and write some homepage website copy.

Peering at the anatomy of an “above-the-fold” section of some recent(ish) homepages. I’ve been so slack at sharing this past 2 months; but these beautiful projects need some kind of limelight!
If you’re looking to revamp, revitalise or completely overhaul your homepage and messaging in the new year; I’d love to lead the charge with your words. 📚

I’m really struggling to put into words what this feedback meant to me.
To have someone validate my values, aspirations and to be honest, my entire career.
The last six months have been relentless for many creatives – the rise of AI threating to suffocate our creativity, humanity and desire to connect through art and creation.
And while there’s been many inklings over the last couple of months that prove the “AI-takeover” is slowing (and even backtracking), this feedback felt monumental. Like a stamp on copywriting as an industry – we’re here, we’re weaving change for people and businesses who are doing amazing things and we’re not going anywhere.
Thank you to all of the fearless business owners who’ve thrown caution to the wind in the face of a world that’s fraying at the edges – who’ve chosen to pour into their passions and pursue a career on their own terms.
I see you. I feel you. And getting to be a part of that business-building journey with you? Indescribable.
So, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
